We’re in the late stages of product development. I mean, we’re getting really down to the wire. We have one or more releases to testing, then it’s going to hit the fan. For real, at a live site.
We’re entering the “Grass fire” stage. This is the point where the grass is on fire all around you. Every time you stomp your foot to put out the fire, sparks fly and light several tiny fires. You stomp those too, but one or two of them grow larger. Sometimes they spark themselves, and create more fires.
This is the hardest part for the development team – trying to convince the PdMs and PjMs that we need to stop fixing bugs, lest we make many more bugs.
