The application I'm working on these days runs in 18 different languages. Every so often we send the UI strings out to be translated. Some of them have no direct equivalent in other languages, and some are the same in most (or all) languages.
One such string was flagged in the content we sent to the translation company as "No translation. Not used in Finnish". Guess what we ended up with in the UI?
